Marea is a celebration of mountain and sea in all their colors, aqua blues and olive greens.

A collaboration between New York architects
Amale Andraos and Dan Wood of WORKac, and Chafic Saab principal of Jamil Saab & Co., Marea assembles a cosmopolitan community of nature and culture lovers, minutes from the historical town of Batroun and its timeless setting on Mediterranean waters.

Minutes from Batroun’s entrance, Marea is a waterfront project at a walking distance from the city’s main attractions.

Surrounded by charming boutique hotels, renowned seafood restaurants and outdoor sports facilities, Marea offers a unique experience of Batroun’s easy beach lifestyle.

WORKac is an architectural and urban practice founded in 2003 by Principals Amal Andraos and Dan Wood. The practice has achieved international recognition, winning competitions in Russia, Gabon, and China; this year, it was named number one in design by Architect magazine, a Game Changer by Metropolis magazine and in 2015, it was selected as the AIANY State Firm of the Year.

Both partners bridge practice and academia: Andraos is the Dean of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture (GSAPP) and Wood is the Frank Gehry Chair at the University of Toronto’s Daniels School of Architecture.
